How does online tuition work?
Just like a physical tuition session, online tuition provides live, focused contact between tutor and student.
Before we commence the session, I will send you a link to an online classroom. This provides a platform from which I can deliver a shared powerpoint lesson. When in the class, it is possible for both student and tutor to speak on the mic, text, and write on a shared whiteboard which both of us can see. Both student and tutor can upload extra documents and paste work into the classroom. This means work can be done in class for instant feedback and homework documents can be pasted in for discussion.

Can I share lessons?
It is perfectly possible to share lessons with other students. Prices for shared classes are available on application.
Do you tutor adults?
Yes, Oceans of Learning is able to tutor students of any age or ability in English Language, English Literature and EFL
Are you able to tutor students in preparation for entrance exams?
Yes, Oceans of Learning has experience in and is happy to design programmes for entrance exams and for the 11+
Do you tutor for IELTS?
Yes, Oceans of Learning has experience in and is happy to tutor all levels of EFL, and can design programmes to help you gain entrance to English speaking institutions at all levels.
I need to give a paper at a conference and English is not my first language. Can you help me?

Can I do this type of tuition if I am dyslexic?
Yes. With this style of classroom, it is easy to change backgrounds and change text sizes and fonts to suit the individual.
I don't live in the UK. Is it possible to access this tuition from abroad?
Yes. Online learning is perfect for students abroad. You can have all the skills and experience of a qualified English tutor brought directly into your own home.
I am only 8 years old and not very good at typing. Will online tuition work for me?
It might do! It is perfectly possible to work solely over the microphone and to upload handwritten work. However, you may need a parent to help you. Contact me by phone or email, and I would be happy to discuss your individual needs.
